Devine Organics

Devine Organics has its roots in Double D Farms, a conventional produce company which began as an almond grower in 1986. In the mid-1990s, Double D Farms started growing organics, reflecting the burgeoning interest of owners Don and Elvia Devine in producing organic products. Devine Organics was the natural result of this focus, and today the Devine Organics division of the company represents all of their organic commodities. With nearly 75 percent of the business now focused on organics, the new company identity reflects this shift. Today, Double D Farms is the brand representing their conventional produce. Whether conventionally or organically grown, you can trust that the highest standards for quality and safety are met to bring your family the freshest produce available.

Farmhouse Lifestyle

FarmHouse Lifestyle was established in 1998 as a family owned and operated organic & sustainable farm business. The farm consists of 10 acres of land in the Fraser River Valley of British Columbia, Canada. The land is producing 7 acres of organic blueberries (variety: Reka) and 3 acres of horticulture, vegetables, herbs, and other fruit. All of our farm is managed without chemical fertilizers or sprays. The green waste generated by the horticulture component of the gardens is composted and added to the blueberry field. This pattern of organic energy creates a polyculture that becomes a synergistic symphony. Our mission statement is “to promote & preserve the elegant simplicity of a farming lifestyle”. To us this means being caretakers of the land that we live and work from, to create an environment & habitat suitable for wild life, as well as our own lives. The farm has become our playground, our zoo, our park, our entertainment. It is our friend and teacher. It gives us space to dream and a connection with the natural world. It nourishes us physically and spiritually, and we welcome you to take part in this experience.

Homegrown Organic Farms

Since 1988, John and Cindy France have represented over 40 family growers in California and Oregon, and take pride in providing small organic farmers with an easy avenue to market their crops. In total, their growers tend over 3,500 acres of organic fruits.

The growers of Homegrown see themselves not only as farmers but as stewards of the land, supporting the organics industry for the betterment of both consumers and the environment. They enjoy gathering insight into the opinions of their buyers, and their webpage contains a forum in which consumers are invited to share their personal reasons for buying organic.

Warkentin Farm

Ron, Bette and son Damon have been growing organic blueberries for a decade. They grow several varieties, including the heritage Rubel, much prized for its extra shot of antioxidants. All 25 acres are dedicated to organic production.

Ron and Bette have proven that with good soil management they can grow beautiful fresh blueberries without any of the chemical concoctions conventional growers in the area use. Ron and Bette are so passionate about organics, they provide mentorship to other farmers, and have convinced some of their neighbours to convert to organic as well.
