A knack for organic farming runs in the Manz-Qi family. Owned by Haiqin Qi and George Manz, Similkameen River Organics is a family farm with three generations lending a hand everyday, including Haiqin’s father, who has been farming organically for over 60 years.
Haiqin and George tend 90 acres of land, where they grow onions, shallots, parsnips, leeks, carrots, and 13 kinds. Carrots are the perfect crop rotation for onions, so it is a natural fit.
