Eatmore Sprouts is one of B.C.’s best organic success stories. Eatmore brand sprouts are found at most natural food stores and major grocery retailers across the West Coast. Eatmore produces over 10 different sprout mixes from greenhouses in the Comox Valley (north Vancouver Island). Glen and Carmen Wakeling are the principals of Eatmore Sprouts, and they have been harvesting alfalfa, sunflower, clover and broccoli sprouts for 15 years. Glen says he finds that, to put it simply, “growing good food is very rewarding.”
Eatmore operates on three very efficcient acres of land that also includes a salad mix operation and an intensive market garden farm. The sprout operation includes composting and waste water management systems, and the soil is constantly renewed through careful cover-cropping.
