Cold weather rolling into Western Canada

Western Canada is heading for a freeze, temps from Alberta to Manitoba dropping to the -20 degree celcius range by Tuesday. Check your road reports, we may see some shipping delays - stock heavy to avoid gaps in your display.

The cold will continue to drive produce sales - folks are staying near the hearth!

Our new Cluster Pack banana is worth a try-these 4 colour printed bags protect the fruit from dehydration and bruising. The bananas stay perfect longer, and the fruit is protected from stray ethylene.

Blueberries continue from Chile, and strawberries stay high and limited for another 7-10 days, then winter fields will kick in.

New Avocado and Grapefruit stock in Monday.

Leafy greens sales continue strong, with all items in good supply except kales are still tight, and spinach supply gap mid week. Broccoli prices are coming down, and cauli is holding with more fields coming in to production next week. Celery pricing is stil high with no relief in sight.

Tomato prices are finally down - beautiful 2-layers are affordable, quality is excellent, and light red colour for longer shelf life.

Have a great week, hope you get out and enjoy the snow!
